Cantref Camp-Site opened in 2015 and is the ideal base for families and individuals wanting to explore the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Cantref Adventure Farm Campsite provides a picturesque and family-friendly camping experience in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. Surrounded by stunning countryside, our campsite offers spacious pitches, modern amenities, and easy access to thrilling farm attractions. Enjoy interactive animal encounters, adventure activities, and beautiful walking trails. With options for both tents and campervans, our campsite is perfect for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. * Our Guests get free entry into the Adventure Farm when it is open for the duration of their stay. Location
We are set in the peaceful rural Welsh countryside with spectacular views of the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains just 3 miles from the market town of Brecon.
We are easily reached from Cardiff and the South Wales Valleys. Our location is about an hours drive from Hereford, Swansea and Newport and just 30 minutes from Merthyr Tydfil and Builth Wells.
Activities
All the outdoor pursuits and activites are located a short car journey away and mountain walks and bike rides can start right from our centre.
For those who are looking to go horse riding this is the perfect place to stay as we have an on-site Horse Riding Centre which has been established for over 45 years and caters for complete beginners to novice through to experienced horse riders. We have rides of different lengths to suit the whole family.
Kids
For families visiting the area the kid's will love our on-site children's farm park with shows every half an hour during the day such as Meet Blue the Dinosaur, Spirit the Unicorn, Meet the Animals, Tractor and Trailer Rides and Pig Racing etc, loads of outdoor play such as our sledge ride, crazy golf and family swamp boat ride and if it is wet we have lots to do under cover including our huge heated indoor play area.
Families camping at Cantref get free entry into the farm park when it is open. please check the farm park opening times prior to booking. When the farm park is closed we still offer limited Private VIP packages.
Cafe
Our farmhouse cafe serves lunch time snacks, through to homemade specials and delicious homemade cakes. You can even buy a souvenir from your holiday / short break at Cantref in our on-site gift shop.
Group Camping
Experience the freedom of exclusive group camping at Cantref. From a private field to our entire Black Mountains site with electric hook-ups, we cater to groups of all sizes. Whether you're planning a Duke of Edinburgh expedition, a scout or guide camp, a corporate event, or a gathering of sports or special interest groups, we've got you covered. If camping isn't for everyone, our cosy camping pods and yurts or holiday cottages offer alternative accommodation options. Let Cantref be your base for an unforgettable group adventure.
